Athens Associates in Family Practice offers our patients their own Patient Portal to access lab results, request medication refills, and schedule or reschedule an appointment with their provider. For our established patients, Click on the button below and register to access your current medical record.

Q: What can I do using the patient portal?

A: The patient portal is available for our established patients to review and update their current demographic information including address, phone numbers, email address, and insurance information. Through the portal, you may also:

  • Request a refill of an active medication
  • Review your next appointment scheduled
  • Schedule or Reschedule an appointment with your provider
  • Review your current problem list
  • Receive lab results from your provider
  • Request notification of your scheduled appointments to be sent via email or text

Q: Can I email my doctor?

A: No email messages can be sent via the patient portal. A prescription refill request is the only communication available through the Patient Portal. It is designed to allow messages from your provider to be sent to your Electronic Health Record via the Patient Portal. Any additional questions that you may have can be directed to your provider or their medical assistant by calling the office (706) 353-7648.


Q: Can I get appointment reminders through the Patient Portal?

A: Any appointments that you schedule through the portal will automatically generate a confirmation of the appointment and sent it to your email or your cell phone. Additional reminder calls will be made by our staff the business day before your scheduled appointment time.

Q: I am a new patient and I want to schedule an appointment. Can I use the Patient Portal?

A: All new patients need to register with our office via telephone before we can open up the Patient Portal to them. If you are a new patient, please call our office at (706) 353-7648 for assistance.

Q: I have a question about my billing or demographic information. Can I send this through the Patient Portal?

A: While questions and email messages cannot be sent to the staff via the Patient Portal at this time, you can email either the billing department or the business office using the email links on the main page.

Q: I want to pay my bill. Can I do this through the Patient Portal?

A: At this time, bill payment cannot be done through the Patient Portal. All bill payments need to be called or mailed in to the office. The bill paymnet enhancement will be coming shortly. Please keep checking back.
